Muscat: A number of judges Wednesday took oath before Sheikh Dr. Is'haq bin Ahmed bin Nasser Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Council for the Judiciary, President of the Supreme Court and Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council, in the presence of Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Hadhrami, Vice-President of the Supreme Court and Secretary General of the Administrative Affairs Council for the Judiciary. The judges who took oath are as follows: Ya'aqoub bin Salim bin Said Al Thani, Ibrahim bin Said bin Saif Al Ma'awali, Mahmoud bin Said bin Ahmed Al Aghbari, Salim bin Nasser bin Said Al Ofi, Salim bin Said bin Sulaiman Al Bahri and Mohammed bin Humaid bin Amer Al Hinai.
The judges have undergone extensive theoretical and practical courses by attending a number of specialised workshops and seminars. They also took practical training to enhance their knowledge of management of cases while delivering judgments. As part of the endeavours of the Administrative Affairs Council for the Judiciary to enhance efficiency of the courts and alleviate pressure on their departments, the new judges will join the primary courts in the Sultanate.
