Muscat: Indian School Al Ghubra celebrated the 64th Republic Day on the school grounds with great enthusiasm and fervour.
S. Muthukrishnan, convener, school management committee was the chief guest for the occasion.
The chief guest unfurled the national flag and took the salute. This was followed by the national anthem of India. The rendition of the patriotic song by the school choir glorifying the praises of mother India infused a sense of pride and patriotism in everyone.
A group of students presented Rabindranath Tagore's poem — Where the Mind is Without Fear which awakened the spirit of all to live in harmony and peace. A large number of parents who were present exchanged greetings with one another making it an eventful day.
