Muscat: The Muscat Municipality will today open to the public the Wadi Adai two-lane bridge from Amerat to Qurum. The link from Ruwi towards Amerat will also be opened soon. The project has been designed as per the global engineering and technical standards.
The project includes the construction of a bridge of new flyovers at Wadi Adai roundabout, similar to the flyovers in international cities. The project also includes diverting the current roundabout to four-way traffic lights. This bridge is one of the vital strategic projects in Wadi Adai area connecting the Wilayat of Amerat to the wilayats of Muttrah and Muscat.
The project has been implemented as per the preset time frame. The remaining part of the project includes diverting Wadi Adai roundabout into a four-way traffic light, and completing the new bridge above the existing bridge to ensure smooth traffic from Wadi Adai towards Seeb.
The final touches to the new parallel bridge to the existing bridge were completed to ensure smooth ride to those coming from Ruwi to Wadi Adai without hampering the other traffic routes.
