Muscat:
During a regular inspection drive, officials from the administration of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection (PACP) in Al Batinah South Governorate raided several commercial shops that were allegedly selling adulterated oils.
Following the raid, the PACP administration officials took some samples for testing. If these samples test positive, the concerned commercial shops will stand accused of violating Consumer Law No. 7/74. The preliminary legal procedures have been completed, and a team of specialists has been assigned to monitor the concerned shops regularly.
Exhibition
In its efforts to spread awareness, the administration of the Public Authority for Consumer Protection in Al Batinah, North Governorate, recently participated in an exhibition organised by Al Hayat Team, Sohar Club, showcasing various counterfeit products. The exhibition witnessed a high turnout.
Representatives of the administration delivered comprehensive explanations to the audience, displayed several documentaries to raise awareness of counterfeit products, and distributed publications and flyers.
