Muscat: The seventh session of the strategic consultations between the foreign ministries of the Sultanate and the People's Republic of China was held at the General Diwan of the Foreign Ministry Wednesday.
The session reviewed all aspects of bilateral relations and existing cooperation between the two countries in economic, trade and cultural fields and discussed the means of promoting them.
Global security, stability
In the meeting, the participants discussed various regional and international issues of common concern and affirmed to support the means of sustaining and strengthening the pillars of regional and global security and stability, in addition to supporting all efforts aimed at achieving the goals of sustainable economic development.
The Omani side was represented by Sayyid Badr bin Hamad bin Hamoud Al Busaidi, Secretary General of the Foreign Ministry, while the Chinese side was represented by Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun.
Talib bin Miran Al Ra'eesi, Head of the Economic Affairs Sector, Wu Jiuhong, Ambassador of the People's Republic of China to the Sultanate, a number of officials at the Foreign Ministry, and the delegation accompanying the Chinese guest attended the meeting.
