ROP arrests Three Asians for dealing in illegal alcohol and two drug traffickers

Muscat:
Officers from the Criminal and Criminal Investigation Department have arrested three Asians charged with manufacturing alcohol in Muscat. A Royal Oman Police (ROP) official said that the arrests were made following a tip-off that a group of Asians was storing alcohol in Muscat. The police arrested the three while in possession of the illegal alcohol. A large quantity of alcohol was confiscated by officials. The three accused men were later referred to the Public Prosecution for further investigation and trial.
The Drug Enforcement Department of the (ROP) has arrested two persons on charges of drug trafficking in the Muscat governorate. The Drug Enforcement Department officials suspected that one of the accused was involved in selling illegal narcotics. After investigations, the police arrested the two men and recovered a large quantity of narcotics, which the men had in their possession, according to officials. Police also recovered money earned from the sale of the drugs.
