PACA course on aviation training and licensing

Muscat: The Public Authority for Civil Aviation (PACA) will organise today a two-week national aviation inspector training and licensing course. The opening ceremony will be held under the patronage of Eng. Salim bin Nasser Al Oufi, chief executive of PACA.

The course is part of PACA keenness to meet its international obligations in the field of civil aviation security and to complement requirements of the national programme for quality control on aviation security and national civil aviation security and training.

The course has been designed in accordance with the methodology of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) in designing programmes for quality control of civil aviation security.

Trainees from PACA, Royal Oman Police (ROP), Oman Air, Oman Airport Management Company (OAMC), Petroleum Development Oman (PDO) and Occidental (as both operate airports in Fahud, Qarn Alam, Marmul and Mekhaizna) will participate in the course.
