Muscat: Meethaq, the pioneer of Islamic banking in Oman from Bank Muscat, is participating in the first real estate exhibition hosted by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) in Dhahirah region. The three-day event begins in Ibri Saturday.
Meethaq will utilise the opportunity to introduce its new Islamic banking products and services, including home finance, auto finance and savings account. Bank Muscat is the first commercial bank in Oman to receive Central Bank of Oman (CBO) approval and begin independent Islamic banking window operations as per the requirements of Islamic banking regulatory framework of CBO.
The bank has invested in staff, systems and controls to ensure the service is delivered in a professional, segregated and fully Sharia-compliant manner. Meethaq delivers its products and services in order to meet all financial needs of customers by ensuring true partnership, transparency and trust.
The Meethaq strategy is to attract customers through innovative Sharia-based products and services. The operations are managed by an experienced team, separate from conventional banking. Meethaq plans to open branches in all major cities and towns across Oman this year. The exhibition will be held under the patronage of Sheikh Abdullah bin Said Al Balushi, member at the State Council.
Ali bin Saleh Al Kalbani, member of OCCI board and head of OCCI branch in the Governorate of Al Dhahirah said that the real estate forum is considered the first of its kind in the governorate that aims at encouraging investment, activating economic and trade.
