Recipe of Quroos Asal, Omani nan

Ingredients:

Flour:             2 cups

Salt:               According to taste

Sugar:            1 tablespoon

Egg:               1

Rose water:    2 tablespoons  

Water:            2 glasses

Preparation:

Take flour in a big bowl. Put salt according to taste. Put one tablespoon sugar and mix it thoroughly. Keep mixing it for half an hour. Then leave it for 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, add an egg and whip it well. After few minutes, add rose water to it and keep it for half an hour. Then heat the pan and add some water at the centre of the pan. Take the flour paste and spread it all around the pan and leave it for few seconds.

Then turn it to the other side. After few minutes, take it off the pan once it becomes baked and crispy. Present it with honey. Omani Quroos Asal is best served with Omani Qahwa. For more information contact on skamal@timesofoman.com
