Muscat: Opening the batting, skipper Shreyas Malhotra scored a belligerent 168 to lead Indian School Al Ghubra (ISG) to a massive 179-run win against Desert Cricket Academy (DCA). The Al Turki Enterprises-sponsored Junior League U-16 tournament, 25 overs a side, match was played at Municipality Ground No. 1 at Al Amerat.
Electing to bat, ISG started off well with a 152-run opening partnership off 13 overs between Shreyas and Hari Menon, 58, and a further 100-run partnership off 7 overs for the second wicket between Shreyas and Shivang Vyas, 40 Not Out, amassing a mammoth 306 runs for the loss of 3 wickets at the end of 25 overs. Vikram Nabira picked up 2 of the wickets to fall, conceding 11 runs off 1.3 overs.
Requiring a daunting 307 for victory, DCA could only muster 127 for the loss of nine wickets at the end of the 25th over, with only skipper Aadithya Kailasam batting stubbornly to score 47. Siddharth Adhicary was the pick of the bowlers, ending with figures of 3 for 18 off 5 overs.

ISWK win In another Al Turki Enterprises-sponsored U-16 Junior League match played at the same venue as the above game, Indian School Wadi Kabir (ISWK) recorded a 4-wicket win against Pakistan School Muscat (PSM) in a low-scoring match.
Opting to bat, PSM lost wickets at regular intervals and was bowled out for 146 off 19.5 overs. Major contributions came from Iftikhar Ahmed, 38, and Danish Shuja, 24, whilst Ahsan Sajjad made a run per ball with 20. The wickets to fall were shared by Arsh Khalifa, 3 for 21; Ivan Manjila, 3 for 31; and Mohit Badiyani, 2 for 30.
ISWK, in response, started off well with openers Arsh Khalifa, 65, and Ivan Manjila, 23, putting together 63 runs for the first wicket off 8.1 overs. With the departure of Ivan Manjila, wickets tumbled, whilst Arsh batted with determination to see the team reach 150 for the loss of 6 wickets off 22.1 overs. Ali Shahid picked up 3 wickets, giving away 30 runs off 5 overs.

ISM B lose Sri Lankan School Muscat (SLSM) registered a stunning 5-wicket win against Indian School Muscat B in the third Al Turki Enterprises-sponsored U-16 Junior League match played at Ground No.2 at Al Amerat.
Electing to bat, ISM B was restricted to 141 for the loss of 7 wickets off the 25 allotted overs, thanks to a top score of 44 from opening batsman Tejesh B.V. Other useful contributions came from Chirag V.M., 27; Abdul Mannan, 21; and Varun A., 20. Skipper Gimash Dias excelled with the ball, ending with figures of 4 for 22, whilst Al Fayd bagged 2 for 24 off 5 overs each.
SLSM was aided by a first-wicket partnership of 53 runs off 6 overs between Gimash Dias, 41, and Al Fayd, 26, and a further 62-run second-wicket partnership off 9.1 overs between Gimash and No.3 batsman Kalana Kavishka Amarasinghe, 24, helping SLSM to reach 143 for the loss of 5 wickets and to snatch a 5-wicket win with 5 overs to spare.
