Muscat: Work is in full swing at the Oman Automobile Association Club in Azaiba, near Oman International Exhibition Centre (OITE), where Indian film actor Shah Rukh Khan's concert 'Temptations Reloaded' is scheduled to be held on Wednesday.

Speaking to the media, Rajeev Chowdhary, managing director of Light & Shadow Enterprises LLC, the company organising the concert, said, "Around 300 people have been working round the clock in two shifts to get the stage and venue ready since we have to hand it over to Cineyug to handle the production details by today evening."
The show is being held as part of the Muscat Festival.

"We might have to add more people to complete the work," he noted. The production is said to cost some OMR750,000, according to Rajeev. The excitement at the venue is palpable amidst the host of activities being performed.

Apart from the superstar, the show will also see actors Katrina Kaif, Preity Zinta, Ali Zafar, and Anuskha Dandekar performing.

Team Light & Shadow Enterprises LLC is going out of its way to ensure that every aspect of the show is well managed. "We have a perfect plan in place to take care of seating, parking, and security facilities since we expect a crowd of some 25,000 people," Rajeev stated.

Tickets of OMR500, OMR250, and OMR150 for zones A, B, and C, respectively, will be right in front of the stage. The venue has a seating capacity for around 4,500 people. "There are just 500 seats for the OMR500 ticketholders. The rest of the seating space will be utilised for those who have bought the OMR250 and OMR150 tickets," Rajeev affirmed.

He acknowledged that people with tickets worth OMR100 (Zone D), OMR50 (Zone E), OMR25 (Zone F), and OMR12 (Zone G) would also have a perfect view.  "They will be seated on elevated tiers, and in fact, the OMR12 seats will be at the same level as the stage. Each zone will be higher than the one before," he said.
Speaking of the challenges involved, Rajeev remarked, "We had to build everything from scratch. Everything had to be built, starting with elevated tiers for the graded seating arrangements in zones D (4,000 seats), E (5,000 seats), F (5,000 seats), and G (6,000 seats), which will seat the OMR100, 50, 25, and 12 ticketholders, respectively. A two-metre-high stage, which includes many elements, is also being erected."

Seating capacity
The seating capacity in these areas will be approximately 20,000.Rajeev, however, clarified that seat numbers will not be assigned.

"The gates will open by 4 p.m., and those who arrive early will get the best seats. An exception applies to the front row, which will be marked for all the VVIPs, ministers, and other dignitaries," he said.

Speaking of the parking arrangements, Rajeev emphasised, "Parking inside the venue can accommodate around 16,000–17,000 cars, spread across the seven zones: A, B, C, D, E, F, and G. There are seven entry and exit zones around the venue. Four of them (A, B, C, and D) are on the inner service road that runs parallel to the main Sultan Qaboos Highway, towards the OITE. About 1.5 kilometres short of OITE, at a turn-off to the left, a prominent Oman Automobile Association signboard leads one to the venue and the parking area. Entry for the other three exit and entry zones—E, F, and G—is on the Ghala side."
All invitees and ticketholders will be given colour-coded bracelets. A different colour has been assigned to each zone, and it will be compulsory to wear the bracelet once inside the venue. The organisers are also distributing parking coupons along with the tickets, which will also be compulsory. There are numerous restrooms in place at the venue. "Green rooms for the stars are also in place," Rajeev noted.

Megastar Shah Rukh is set to make a unique entry into the venue. "This is, of course, going to be a surprise," Rajeev stated. He also pointed out that Shah Rukh Khan would interact with the crowds.

"A pathway has been made for him to climb down from the stage and move towards the audience, right up to the patrons in the OMR12 seats. He has promised a lot of interaction with the crowds," he remarked.

As for crowd management, Garth Almeida, general manager at Light & Shadow Enterprises LLC, confirmed, "We have enough security to cover the place. ROP security, our own security, and employees will be deployed around the venue."

The stage will be 24x24 metres wide and 2 metres high with two levels, inclusive of hydraulic systems. A lot of equipment and infrastructure have been imported from Kuwait and Dubai. The venue is being decorated by a Dubai-based company.

Talentz is handling the stage construction and management, and the production details are being handled by Cineyug.

Tickets are running out, so people should book early. "The OMR500 and OMR250 seats have already been sold out, and the OMR12, OMR25, and OMR100 seats are in demand. If any tickets remain, we will continue counter sales through a portacabin, starting from 3 pm," Garth said.
