Saraya Bandar Jissah signs earthworks contract

Muscat:
Saraya Bandar Jissah, the company developing Muscat's newest integrated residential and leisure development, has signed a contract with Nagarjuna Construction Company International for the advanced earthworks package for the project.
The contract signing marks the next stage of progress in the Saraya Bandar Jissah project which will be home to exclusive residential units, two 5-star beach-front hotels, diverse community services and recreational facilities.
Nagarjuna Construction Company will provide the foundations for the site development, including bulk earthworks, the lagoon structure and platforms for roads and transport networks. These works will fully prepare the Saraya Bandar Jissah site for the next stages of its development; the infrastructure and building works. The earthworks will take place over 18 months.
Signing ceremony
At a signing ceremony, Sheikh Hamood bin Sultan al Hosni, CEO of Saraya Bandar Jissah commented: "We are pleased to start the first stage of the development of the Saraya Bandar Jissah project. This is an important step which will position the project and see it take its founding shape in this stunning location." Bhaskar Reddy, director of operations of Nagarjuna Construction Company said: "This is a significant addition to our portfolio in Oman's tourism and leisure sector. We are pleased to be able to play a part in this project."
Consultancy firm Halcrow Middle East, which developed the engineering design for the project, were also present at the signing ceremony.
