Muscat: The stage is set for the Shah Rukh Khan's concert Temptations Reloaded to be held at the Oman Automobile Association Club today.
All the top performing stars have started arriving for the show. Apart from the superstar the show will see actors Katrina Kaif, Preity Zinta, Ali Zafar and Anuskha Dandekar performing too. A troupe of around 120 artistes has arrived for the concert which is expected to start at 8pm. The gates, however, will open at 4pm.
"We request the audience to occupy their seats as early as possible because it will be based on first come first basis whichever zones they sit in," said Shruti Chowdhary, director, Light & Shadow Enterprises LLC.
Event management company Light & Shadow Enterprises LLC is organising the concert. They are ensuring that every aspect of the show is being taken care of. "The scale of the event is huge and we have made all arrangements to ensure hassle free parking and seating facilities," she said. The organisers expect a crowd of around 25,000.
Tickets of OMR500, OMR250 and OMR150, for zones A, B and C respectively will be right in front of the stage with a seating capacity of around 4,500. There are just 500 seats for the OMR500 ticket holders. The rest of the seating space will be utilised for those who bought the OMR250 and OMR150 ticket.
OMR100 (Zone D), OMR50 (Zone E), OMR25 (Zone F), and OMR12 (Zone G) will also have a perfect view. "The seating and the stage will be elevated. Each zone from Zone D to G will be at a different elevation giving everyone a clear view of the stage," he said.
Parking capacity inside the venue is around 16,000 to 17,000 spread across the seven zones A, B, C, D, E, F and G. There are seven entry and exit zones to the venue location. Four (A, B, C, D) are on the inside service road that runs parallel to the main Sultan Qaboos Highway, as one drives in the direction of the Oman International Exhibition Centre (OITE).
About 1.5km short of OITE, at a turn-off to the left, a prominent Oman Automobile Association signboard leads one to the venue location and car parking area. Entry for the other three exit and entry zones E, F, G is from the Ghala side.
All invitees and ticket-holders will be given colour-coded bracelets, a different colour for each zone that will be compulsory to wear once inside the venue.
The organisers are also giving out parking coupons along with the tickets which will also be compulsory. There are ample numbers of rest rooms put at the venue and green rooms for the stars are also in place.
The stage will be 24 x 24 metres and 2-metre-high with two different levels inclusive of hydraulic systems. A lot of equipment and other infrastructure have been brought in from Kuwait and Dubai. The venue is being done up by a Dubai company.
Khan has a string of hits under his belt, which include some of Bollywood's biggest in both national and international markets, namely Kuch Kuch Hota Hai , Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Devdas, Swades, Chak De India!, Om Shanti Om, My Name Is Khan, Ra.One, Don 2 and Jab Tak Hain Jaan. He co-owns two production houses, Dreamz Unlimited and Red Chilis Entertainment and the IPL Cricket team Kolkata Knight Riders.
He is the recipient of the Padma Shri (India), l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres (France), the UNESCO Pyramide con Marni (Unesco), L'Étoile d'Or (by the king of Morocco), and the Chubb fellowship (Yale).
