This initiative is a part of our responsibility towards the community and will help us bridge the gap of scarce human resources by adding highly qualified professional national water desalination and power generation technicians able to contribute to the sustainable development of the Sultanate. I would also like to thank H.E. the Chairman of the Public Authority for Electricity and Water, and H.E. the Chairman of Oman Power and Water Procurement Company, for their infinite support to ACWA Power Barka and promoting programmes that contribute towards creating qualified national manpower in this field. these initiatives add value to the sustainable development process taking place inthe Sultanate", sais Mr. Mohammad Bin Abdullah Abunayyan, Chairman, ACWA Power Barka.

The programme also comes in line with the government trend of creating skilled national manpower that can join this vital field and contribute to the growth and development taking place in Oman.
HIWPT was established as an initiative by ACWA power International in cooperation with the technical and vocational training corporationof Saudi Arabia through its strategic cooperation programme.
