Muscat: A number of judges Saturday took the oath of office before Sheikh Dr Is'haq bin Ahmed bin Nasser Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Administrative Affairs Council for the Judiciary, President of the Supreme Court and Deputy Chairman of Supreme Judicial Council.
The judges have completed intensified theoretical and practical training as assistant judges. Sheikh Dr. Is'haq issued a decision promoting and appointing them as judges, as per provision of the Judiciary Authority Law. This is the largest batch of judges (15) to join service since the judicial authority was separated from the executive authority a year ago.
Earlier, a number of judges were appointed at the primary, appeal and supreme courts last year.
