24-hour disconnection of water supply in Muscat

Muscat:
The Public Authority for Electricity and Water has announced the disconnection of water supply in Al Qurum, Al Khuwair 33 and Al Wattayah in the wilayat of Bausher and the wilayats of Amerat, Muttrah and Muscat, from 10pm today (February 20) to 10pm tomorrow (February 21).
In a media announcement, the Public Authority for Electricity and Water (PAEW) stated that the disconnection was being done to replace pumps at the desalination plant at Al Ghubra.
Regretting the inconve-nience, the PAEW has advised the residents to take necessary precautions.

I wonder why no one has reported about the water supply disruption in Alkhuwair and Alkhuwair 33 areas. Even though the announcement was for 24 hours, its been 72+ hours since the water supply has stopped. Appreciate if the concerned authorities take an immediate action in this regard.

I wonder why no one is reporting the extension of the water supply disconnection.There are places in Al Khuwair and Al Khuwair 33 where water has not come yet(24 Feb 13) from Wednesday (20 Feb 13) disconnection!!! Appreciate if the concerned authorities take necessary action in this regard.
