Oman, Pakistan cement judicial ties

Muscat: A joint session of talks was held yesterday between Sheikh Dr Is'haq bin Ahmed Al Busaidi, Chairman of the Supreme Court, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council and Head of Administrative Affairs Council for Judiciary, and Agha Rafiq Ahmed Khan, Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan.

The discussions dealt with various topics related to the judicial and legal aspects, as well as supporting joint cooperation in areas that involve the judiciaries of  the two countries.
During the session, the two sides also exchanged ideas that could enhance joint cooperation in the field of law and justice between the two countries.

The talks were  attended by a number of assistant chairmen of the Supreme Court and the delegation accompanying the guest.

Meanwhile, the Chief Justice of the Federal Shariat Court of Pakistan paid a visit to the Courts Complex in Muscat. He was accompanied by Sheikh Khalifa bin Mohammed Al Hadhrami, Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Court and Sheikh Dr. Khalfan bin Abdullah Al Siyabi, Assistant Secretary General of the Judiciary Affairs.      

The guest expressed his delight at the beauty of the building and its utilities.
