Muscat: On the sidelines of the inaugural US Private Equity Trade Mission to Oman, US Ambassador Greta Holtz was featured as a special guest among more than 35 Omani businesswomen, who had gathered at the Ritz Carlton Al-Bustan Palace for a roundtable discussion on women's financial literacy and empowerment.
The dialogue was organised by Arizona-based NGO Women Investing in Women (WIIW) and included female American fund managers from the US Private Equity Delegation.
The US Embassy welcomed applications for a local Middle East Partnership Initiative grant focused on improving women's financial literacy. WIIW is currently in discussions with various Omani women entrepreneurs for a follow-on dialogue.
