Muscat: As part of the efforts to enhance coordination among all institutions of the state, a joint meeting between the Council of Ministers and Majlis Al Shura Office was held in the Council of Ministers premises in Muscat.
The meeting was attended by His Highness Sayyid Fahd bin Mahmoud Al Said, Khalid bin Hilal Al Ma'awali, Chairman of Majlis Al Shura, members of the council of ministers and members of the Majlis Al Shura Office.
These meetings followed the directives of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said regarding continuous cooperation between the Council of Ministers and the Council of Oman. These meetings are aimed at enhancing social and economic development, promoting the interests of the common man and involving him in enhancing the building and growth paths to serve the current and future generations.
The Deputy Prime Minister for the Council of Ministers welcomed the members of Majlis Al Shura Office and hailed the efforts made by the Majlis. He affirmed the keenness of the government to cement cooperation with the Majlis to serve public interest. On his part, the Chairman of Majlis Al Shura expressed satisfaction with the meeting, which will enhance cooperation among institutions of the state.
The meeting reviewed the items on the agenda including the recommendations forwarded by the Majlis Al Shura, its request for more information and data, the importance of providing it with the reports of the service ministries on time, as well as keeping it updated with the measures taken on the issues raised by Majlis Al Shura to the government. The discussions resulted in crystallizing all issues under discussion..
