Headache is a very common problem faced by people of all ages and from all walks of life.It is better to avoid the use of chemically composed painkillers and try the following natural methods:
A paste of clove and salt crystals
This is a very effective remedy for headache.All you need to do is to form a paste of salt crystals and clove powder and mix it well in milk and consume it. Salt crystals are hygroscopic and absorb all the fluids in the head thereby reducing the strength of headache.
A mixture of fresh lemon and warm water
Add some lemon to a glass of water and drink the mixture.It will help reduce the intensity of headache as some of the headaches are caused by gas in the stomach.This mixture helps you to get rid of gas as well as headache.
Massage your head with Terra eucalyptus oil or peppermint oil
A headache can easily be cured by a massage of eucalyptus oil or peppermint oil on the temple and center of your head. Due to their pain relieving properties, it gives you instant relief.
Drink some warm milk
Consumption of warm glass of cow milk helps you to treat headache very quickly.You can also add a little bit of ghee as well to multiply its effect.
Apply a paste of cinnamon powder
You can also grind some cinnamon and use its powder to make paste with some water.Apply it on your head and get instant relief.
A mixture of sugar and coriander
A mixture of coriander, sugar and water helps to cure headaches caused by common colds.
Use sandalwood to make a paste with water and apply this paste on your forehead for total relief.
Massage with coconut oil
A fifteen-minute longmassage of coconut oil on the forehead works well to reduce the pain.It is an ideal remedy in summer season which makes the head feel cool and reduces pain.
Drink some garlic juice
Extract juice out of some cloves of garlic and drink at least 1 teaspoon of it.Garlic juice permeates the head and acts as a painkiller.Eventually the headache is relieved.
Keep your legs in hot water
You can also dip your feet in a tub carrying hot water for fifteen minutes before bedtime.Repeat this for a few weeks especially if you are suffering from chronic headaches induced by sinus problem.
Eat a piece of apple
To get rid of persisting headaches, eat a piece of apple by sprinkling salt on it and having a glass of water or milk right after that.Carry this routine for a few days to get rid of it completely.
Almond oil massage
Almond oil is a very effective remedy.Massage it on the forehead for fifteen minutes and get instant relief.
Drink a mixture of coriander, cumin and ginger
Make a tea of coriander leaves,cumin seeds and ginger by boiling them in hot water for 5 minutes.Consume this tea twice a day till you feel better.
Eat some betel leaves
Betel has analgesic properties which helps to get rid of headache effectively.Make a paste out of betel leaves and apply on the center of your head and temples for best results.
Avoid eating too much of cheese
Foods like cheese, mutton and chocolates should be completely avoided from your diet when suffering from headache.Instead have foods rich in Vitamin B12, C and D, proteins and calcium.
Include green leafy vegetables in your diet and also eat more cabbage,cauliflower,fenugreek and other food items.Avoid junk food completely.
Inappropriate sleeping habits can trigger headaches. In order to get rid of it take at least 6 hours of sleep daily. In order to keep headaches completely at bay, you need to bring positive changes to your lifestyle.
Quit smoking as smoking leads to stress and stress in turn leads to headaches.So the next time you get a headache, try to use these natural ways within the comfort of your house without wasting any money on drugs.
