“Mountaineering,” featured a 6.6m high wall covered in special grips that the dancers used to climb, jump and balance on, to swing from and perform risky acrobatic moves. Rather than using the floor of the stage as a dance surface, the dancers danced up and down the wall, moving from grip to grip, testing the limits of gravity. Caption: Sarah MacDonald. “Fashion Show” seemed to turn people into dolls, perhaps puppets of the fashion industry, toys to be dressed and manipulated. Giant wooden chairs on the stage made the dancers appear toy-sized, and their movements were often like marionettes. Caption: Sarah MacDonald, Pic: Khalid Al Busaidi, ROHM
