Oman and Iran to boost oil sector cooperation

Tehran: A number of members of the official delegation accompanying His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said to Iran held talks with their Iranian counterparts in Tehran yesterday. The meetings dealt with the means to promote bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.

Yousuf bin Alawi bin Abdullah, Minister Responsible for Foreign Affairs, met with his Iranian counterpart Mohammed Javad Zarif and discussed the bilateral relations binding the two neighbouring countries. The meeting also discussed a number of regional and international issues.

Abdulaziz bin Mohammed Al Rowas, Adviser to His Majesty the Sultan for Cultural Affairs, held a joint meeting with Ali Jannati, Minister of Culture and Islamic Guidance, and Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Minister of Oil. The meeting discussed means of supporting and promoting the bilateral relations and boosting cooperation between the two countries in the fields of oil and gas and culture.

Dr Salim bin Nasser Al Ismaily, Chairman of the Public Authority for Investment Promotion and Export Development, met with Mohammad Nahavandian, Head of the Presidential Office, and Bijan Namdar Zanganeh, Minister of Oil and discussed means of promoting cooperation between the two countries.
