ITA shortlisted for Dubai honour

Muscat: The Dubai's Government Summit has announced that the Information Technology Authority of Oman (ITA) has qualified for the final stage of the Best M-Government Service Award with its Donate.om application.

The winners in various categories of the award will be announced at a ceremony during the Government Summit which will be held in Dubai this month.

The Donate.om application of Information Technology Authority, Oman offers complete e-service, facilitates donations to 11 different charity organisations.

The application, which is officially approved by Oman's Ministry of Social Development for these charities' 75 different causes, enables the less-privileged communities to benefit from donations paid easily via mobile phones and other smart devices.

Altogether, 31 applications from both Arab and international countries have qualified for the final stage. The applications for the award witnessed a strong Arab presence with 42 participations.
