Muscat: The Indian Social Club, Malayalam Wing celebrated its annual Children's Day with a colourful ceremony at the ISC Multipurpose hall last month.
Noted poet from Kerala, Sree Kureepuzha Sreekumar, was the guest of honour during the celebrations. Rajeev Kumar K. K., the Children's Wing Secretary, in his welcome address briefed about the activities of the wing during the last one year and explained his future plans for the current year.

Sree Kureepuzha Sreekumar gave a thrilling speech for the children and recited a children's poem besides having a thought provoking interaction with them. "The Indian Social Club, Malayalam Wing will be presenting a Malayalam drama Kattukuthira (Wild Horse) on May 15, 2014 at 8pm, at the Le Grand Hall of the Al Falaj Hotel. The drama will be presented by the talented members of the Malayalam Wing and is directed by Suresh B. Nair.

The drama Kattukuthira has won great accolades for the veteran actor, late Rajan P. Dev, in Kerala decades ago.

His role as Kochu Bava in the drama and later in the film was a turning point in his career as a theatre artist. The much-talked drama Kattukuthira will be presented by the Malayalam Wing's own artistes and will be a Vishu and Easter gift to the theatre loving Keralites in Oman.
