Royal Decree ratifies Oman's road transport pact with Jordan

Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said has issued two Royal Decrees as follows:

Royal Decree No. 32/2014 Declaring the implementation of the roads project connecting the Al Batinah  Expressway with the Al Batinah Existing Road as a public utility.

Article one: Declares the implementation of the roads project connecting the Al Batinah Expressway with the  Al Batinah Existing Road, as specified in the attached circular and the master lay out, as a public utility.

Article two: The concerned authorities shall expropriate, through direct implementation, the properties,  relevant lands needed for the aforesaid project, as well as installations over them, in accordance with  provisions of the Public Utility Expropriation Law.

Article three: The Decree comes into force from its date of issue.

Royal Decree No. 33/2014 Ratifying International Road Transport Agreement between the Government of  the Sultanate of Oman and the Government of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan signed in Muscat on  November 3, 2013.

Article One: Ratifies the aforesaid agreement as per the attached text.

Article Two: The concerned authorities shall deposit the ratification document on the said agreement as per  its provisions. 

Article Three: The decree takes effect from its date of issue.
