Oman's Haitham, Britain's Hague hold talks

London: His Highness Sayyid Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Minister of Heritage and Culture, who is on an official tour of  Britain, met with William Hague, British Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs on Wednesday.

The two leaders discussed various aspects of cooperation between the Sultanate and the UK and reviewed means of enhancing and promoting them. The meeting was attended by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Hina'ei, the Sultanate's Ambassador to the UK and a number of officials at the Ministry of Heritage and Culture.

Meanwhile, Sayyid Haitham and his accompanying delegation also attended the ceremony, which was organised by the Omani-British Friendship Association under the patronage of Prince Andrew, Duke of York, the Honorary Chairman of the British side in the association.

During the ceremony, the two leaders exchanged views on a number of topics related to promoting cooperation and closer relations, particularly in the cultural areas.
