Muscat: Three Omani nationals, who had gone missing three days earlier while travelling in their boat in the wilayat of Khasab, were found and rescued by the Omani Coast Guard personnel on Sunday.

After the operation centre of the Royal Oman Police (ROP)received a report about the incident, the personnel from the Coast Guard, in coordination with the Khasab Maritime Base, rushed to the spot where they were last seen and rescued them.

It turned out that their boat was intercepted by an Iranian boat and they were assaulted. They are all in good health, according to the ROP.
