Muscat: A South India-based real estate developer is trying to lure Muscat-based non-resident Indians (NRIs) for their luxury apartments coming up in Kochi city.

Fern Valley Group, which has developed several prestigious projects in Bangalore and Kochi over the last 17 years, is now building two apartment projects Fern Kensington at Maradu and Fern Silver Spring in Aluva.

The 112-apartment project, Fern Kensington coming up in a large area of 1.75 acres of land, allocated 1.25 acres for common amenities, including landscaped garden and play area for children. "Only 50 cents of land is used for development and the remaining area is for common amenities. Perhaps, this may be the only project within Kochi metro where you can find such a large vacant space," said Paul Fernandez, chairman and managing director of Fern Valley Group.

Fern Kensington, which is located 4km from Vytilla junction, offers three different types of flats — three-bedroom with a total area of 1,500 square feet, two-bedroom with a study room  with a total area of 1,360sq.ft and two-bed- room with a total area of 1,200sq. ft. A three-bedroom flat will cost around Rs5.8 million, while a two- bedroom flat is available for Rs4.8 million.

Fernandez, who was on a short visit to Muscat, said the construction work of both apartments are in progress now. "Fern Kensington is a 15-storied building and we have completed eight floors now," added Uday, a director of Fern Valley Group. Major amenities of Fern Kensington apartment include a rooftop swimming pool, a most modern club house and a health club. All apartments from the fourth floor onwards enjoy an uninterrupted view of the gorgeous water front.

In addition to covered car parking for residents and ample parking spaces for visitors, this 15-storied project has a state-of-the-art health club, a spacious club house and a rooftop swimming pool. The ultra modern facilities and amenities and breath-taking location make Fern Kensington a truly luxurious and ideal living space.

"We have sold 60 flats now and 52 are remaining in Fern Kensington. Most of our buyers are NRIs from Qatar, Muscat and other GCC countries," Fernandez noted.

Referring to Fern Silver Springs coming up at Aluva, he said the project consists of 81 apartments and designed with ground plus 14 floors with a swimming pool, club house and multi-gym. The ground floor is exclusively for owner's car parking. "We have completed the piling work and 75 per cent of basement work is also over."
