Tender Board holds 32nd meeting, awards contracts

Muscat: The Tender Board yesterday held its 32nd meeting for 2012 under the chair of Dr Rasheed bin Al Safi Al Huraibi, chairman of the Tender Board.

The meeting awarded tenders worth RO88,139,003 for the following projects: Construction of transmission line (400 KV) and (220 KV) from Sur Power Plant to Izki Electricity Transformer Plant (RO42,875,000);

Construction of building complex for the Research Council in Al Khoudh in the Wilayat of Seeb in Muscat Governorate, first stage, (RO11,749,000);

Construction of water distribution networks in Khasab and nearby villages in Musandam Governorate (RO7,313,076);

Provision of the security guard service for a number of health institutions affiliated to the Ministry of Health (RO5,349,600);
Connecting electric cables to Duqm Port's installations (RO4,989,985);

Maintenance work
Periodic maintenance for Sohar Refinery (RO4,785,063);  Construction of Saraya Bandar Al Jissah electricity transformers plant in Muscat Governorate (RO4,231,533);

Supply, installation and operation of Omantel equipment (RO2,732,135) and supply of rice (RO1,974,954); Digital printing of answersheets and e-correction for the general education diploma and its equivalent subjects for the first and second semester of 2012- 2013 (RO1,343,750);

Provision of periodic maintenance service and supply of spare parts for the medical equipment at hospitals (RO395,000);

Additional works for the expansion of water tank in Al Wadi Al Kabir and its associated projects (RO241,786);

Additional works for the provision of consultancy services; the supervision and management of the new sanitary drainage project in Darsait and the central pumping plant in Al Athiba in Muscat Governorate (RO553,130);

Additional works
The Board also approved awarding additional works related to the implementation of a number of vital projects and provision of services in different parts of the Sultanate.  
The meeting also opened bids for a number of development and service projects including internal facilities for the national museum project, supply, installation and testing of chlorine production plant at Sohar Industrial Port (second stage) and the construction of flood protection system in the Wilayat of Sur in South Sharqiyah Governorate (first stage).
