Renna reviving with new offers

Muscat: Renna Mobile, the second leading mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) in the Sultanate, has announced fabulous offers in an apparent move to revive its position in a crowded market.

The major offers include a nine baisa tariff per minute for all calls among Renna mobile customers, without any subscription fees or hidden charges. "This incredible offer is valid all day long and every day of the week, and it is the first time in Oman that mobile customers can call for the price of an SMS," said Joakim Klingefjord, CEO of Renna Mobile.

Renna Mobile is in a better position to invest funds for its expansion plans, after Oman Brunei Investment Company acquired a majority stake in the company and decided to inject capital into the mobile firm.

To complement the promotion, which expires at the end of March 2013, the company also announced two amazing offers in the form of Renna Friends and Favourite Numbers. "The new permanent price plan, Renna Friends, allows Renna Mobile customers to call each other round the clock, all year long for only 19 baisa per minitue," added Klingefjord, while addressing the media.

"This coupled with the new Favourite Numbers service, which allows any Renna Mobile customer to call a selection of other customers in Oman, whether fixed or mobile, for the price of 25 baias per minute, provides value never seen in the Sultanate before," he said.

Several new data bundles were also introduced, which together with the existing line-up of Renna Mobile data bundles, provide smartphone and PC users with the absolute best value in the market. Also, all Renna Mobile customers subscribing to one of three data bundles will be able to enjoy free data from 11 pm to 6 am every day until the end of March 2013, without paying any additional subscription fees or charges.

Renna chief also announced a new interactive USSD self service menu, which allows Renna Mobile customers to subscribe to services, access account details and get help and information at fingertips.
