Omani and Filipino groups to take part in Khafeef International Dance Festival

Muscat: As the Khafeef International Dance Festival is over the weekend, the dance festival is sure to capture the hearts of the multitude as the multicultural and multinational dancers are gearing up to put up a wonderful show at the City Amphitheatre in Qurum tomorrow.

Exspin Group is an all Omani Hip Hop Boyz group from Mabelah who won the first ever Muscat Festival Dance competition in 2008. Since then they have performed for videos, commercials and corporate functions. They have also won many other prestigious competitions held in the Middle East. The crew members are Aber Sabil Al Balushi, Faisal Ali Al Rasbi, Nasser Taleb Al Hadidi,  Hathem Hamoud Al Habsi and Mohammed Saud Al Talai. 

Dope Boyz Style Crew has amazingly talented Omani young boys doing — Bboying locking and popping. They have been performing on many stages across Oman including Muscat festival. The members are  Muath Nasser Sulaiman Al Mhrizi, Luay Nasser Sulaiman Al Mhrizi, Sasa Ahmed Al Rawahi, Abdulla Sulaiman Al Habsi,  Fahad Sulaiman Al Habsi,  Salah Said Al Busaidi and Laith Al Busaidi.

An all Filipino Group has got a wild card entry. Rhythmic Movement is a group made up of members that came from the Philippines but was assembled here in Oman. This crew has been performing for three years and incorporates different dancing styles like, folk or cultural dances, interpretative dance and choreographic dance. The members are Marbert P. Montales, Reian Viernes, Jennifer D. Legaspi, Alissa R. Pundoma, Camille Rose M. Cudal and Gabriel N. Jarlego.

Zumba Fitness with Marissa also got a wild card entry.  Marissa Pontila Del Rio is a certified Zumba instructor and physical education graduate. She has been a physical instructor and dance trainer teaching in Oman since 20 years. At present she is operating at Al Muneif Sports Centre. The dancers are Marissa Pontila Del Rio, Marili Josie Amper, Alrence Halibas, Nijinka Chinniah and Jason Mancilla.
