Knowledge Oman supports Microsoft App Academy

Muscat: Microsoft, in partnership with Knowledge Oman, is hosting Microsoft App Academy for the first time in Oman.

Organised by Microsoft under the theme "Designing and developing your first app", the event is scheduled to take place at the Middle East College of Information Technology for three consecutive days starting January 21, 2013.

Tariq Al Barwani, president and founder of Knowledge Oman says, "We are proud to partner and support the largest software company in the world Microsoft by connecting students and professionals under one roof to learn about the latest development tools available to create cutting edge programmes for consumers, business and academia as a whole. Participants will be able to develop applications for phones, tablets and desktops that operate under Windows 8."

The Microsoft App Academy consists of a three-day training and certification programme that includes extensive training on Windows 8 design principles, use of Expression Blend to create Windows 8 Apps, as well as controls, architecture, design techniques and best practices, and eventually attendees will be taught how to create their own Windows 8 and Windows Phone Apps. This programme will ramp up attendees' development skills on Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8 Application design and development helping them not only with their first steps but also to improve the performance, quality, look and feel of their apps.
