Oman Cricket: Al Maddah, BOC to start cricket academy in Nizwa

Muscat: Al Maddah Sports Team, in cooperation with Bosher Olympic Centre (BOC), will soon launch a cricket academy in Nizwa.
According to information received from the team, it will be the first cricket academy to be established not just in Nizwa but also in Al Dakhiliya governorate.
The plan to start an academy in Nizwa as part of the joint efforts of Bosher Olympic Centre and Al Maddah Sport Team to popularise cricket in the wilayat of Nizwa.
Over the years, Al Maddah Sport Team, which is part of Nizwa Club, has been involved in several sports activities including football, volleyball, handball and table tennis.
Recently Al Maddah has established a cricket team and also laid a pitch with high quality artificial grass.
And the team had already conducted three tournaments, which attracted teams from outside Nizwa, including places like Muscat.
