Oman weather: Temperature drops in many parts of Sultanate

Muscat: Temperatures dropped by three to four degrees in several parts of Oman on Wednesday morning, with fresh winds coupled with duststorm blowing over the deserts, according to the Directorate General of Meteorology and Air Navigation (DGMAN), which monitors weather conditions in Oman.
Officials said that the cold and dry wind generally comes from Iran. Besides reducing the temperature, these winds also force a rise in the sea level.

DGMAN said in an update on Wednesday morning that moderate to rough sea wave (2.5-3 m) on the western coast of Musandam, Oman Sea coast is likely during the day.
In its 24 hour outlook, the DGMAN said clear skies over most of the Sultanate with chance of dust raising wind over desert and open area is expected.
“However, there are chances of late night to early morning low level clouds or fog patches along most of the coastal areas,” it said.
