Muscat International Airport parking area expanded

Muscat: Parking at Muscat International Airport has just got better as additional space will be opened on February 15, Oman Airports Management Company (OAMC) said in a statement.
“The enhancements include an additional level to the short term parking zone and an expanded long term parking area providing additional car parking spaces,” the statement added.
OAMC has also enhanced the existing payment system which is based on the results of a long-term study.
From February 15, the new payment system will apply for travelers making use of the long term car parking zone, with OMR3 being charged from customers for the first 24 hours, OMR4 for the second day, OMR5 for the third day and OMR6 for the fourth day.
Moreover, long term customers will be charged OMR7 daily from the fifth day onward.
The new payment system for long term parking has been based on the results of an extensive car parking study which focused on the usage patterns and average stay period within the long term parking zone.
“It is a key area of focus to provide the best services for the travelers who pass through the Sultanate’s airports. With this goal in mind, we continuously monitor and update our services to best meet the needs of busy travelers. We are working on developing the airport to take its place among the world’s best regional and international airports and will spare no efforts to reach our goals – the first step of which is 670 new long term parking spaces being added to Muscat International Airport,” an official from the OAMC said.
“We trust that travelers will notice the difference we are making in the enhanced parking services provided and the large investment made by OAMC to improve the overall visitor experience. We will continue our efforts to provide the best experience possible for travelers to Muscat International airport,” the official added.
