Muscat: The leadership training for Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme was organised in the Indian School, Darsait on January 21, 2013.

Kevin Troth, commercial manager, Carillion Alawi LLC addressed the student members (volunteers) and teachers.

Leadership quality is acquired through humbleness and humanity. One should accept the feeling of others and view others with empathy. Schooling is also a kind of training for developing leadership qualities. Today's children are tomorrow's leaders. Hence they should be nurtured as great leaders of future.

"I was also the member of Duke of Edinburgh Award Scheme. It made me adventurous and finally understood that humbleness and humanity are the qualities much more important for a leader. Qualities make better leaders and they are the lights of tomorrow," Kevin emphasised. Students interacted with Kevin and the question and answer session revealed many qualities for a good leader. Beena Govind, AVP, presented a memento and Shobhakrishnan, Lal A. Pillai and Radhakrishna Kurup coordinated the programme.
