Oman Cricket: Passage to India defeat Assarain in Premier Division Knockout match

Muscat: Ahad Malek scored 73 runs as Passage to India eased to a three-wicket victory over Assarain in a Khimji Ramdas-sponsored Premier Division Knockout match at the Ministry of Sports Affairs turf ground on Friday morning.
Batting first, Assarain were all out after putting on 249 runs in 50 overs with Arun Polouse top scoring with 61. Jaymin Taylor and Muhammed Bilal claimed two wickets each for Passage to India.
In reply, Passage to India scored 252 for seven in just 39.5 overs. Benjamin and Ahad Malek scored 46 and 73 runs respectively. Sindo Michal and Vinu Kumar claimed two wickets each for Assarain.
The finalist for the Premier Division 50-over knockout will be decided by virtue of the Net Run Rate, upon completion of the final round one match scheduled for next Friday between Muscat CT and Enhance.
