Power outage at Muscat airport affects passengers, operations

Muscat: A power supply outage at Muscat International Airport had caused inconvenience to passengers and operations on April 30, the Oman Airport Management Company said in a notice.
“Muscat International Airport suffered an unexpected outage yesterday that affected our passengers, due to external factors, and normal service was resumed as soon as possible, and the services affected are now fully operational,” the OAMC said in a notice updated in its official twitter account.
Meanwhile, Oman Air tweeted that 39 flights were delayed in total, with some flights having a knock-on effect. Minimum delay was 7 min and maximum was 200 min.
“This was caused due to a disruption in the SITA link that failed twice during the day,” the Oman Air tweet added.
SITA is the air transport telecommunications and information technology provider used by airlines for check-in and various other functions
