Oman wins three prestigious e-government awards

Muscat: The Sultanate won yesterday in the Swiss City of Geneva three international awards in the field of e-government.
InvestEasy project of Ministry of Commerce and Industry won the runner-up award in the best project in the e-business category.
e-Certification project of the Information Technology Authority won the runner-up award in the best project category in the confidence-building and security in the use of information and communications technology on the sidelines of the participation in the World Summit on the Information Society (WSIS), organised by the International Communication Union (ICU) from May 2 to May 6.
InvestEasy project was honoured as the best one-station services by the “UNCTAD”.
WSIS is organised by ICU with a wide international participation from government agencies and institutions working in the field of information technology, private institutions and individuals involved in information technology from around the world.
