The Shura official was talking on the sidelines of a seminar organised by the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on labour law on Monday.
The seminar was organised to discuss the current law and for considering the recommendations from human resource and labour department officials.
Busaidi is the head of the Youth and Human Resources Committee in the Shura.
The seminar was organised by the Human Resources and Labour Market Committee at OCCI.
“The seminar aims to review the labour law, create awareness among stakeholders and to identify the deficiencies as the government is reviewing and working on a new law,” the official added. The forum was held under the auspices of Hamad bin Khamis al Amri, undersecretary for Labour Affairs at the Ministry of Manpower.
The seminar also aims to raise legal awareness and develop the skills of human resources managers by making them understand the Labour Law.
