Indian expat in Oman wins award for social service

Muscat: Premanand Edacheri, Lecturer, Nizwa College of Technology and president of Payyanur Sauhrudha Vedhi (PSV) received the prestigious Shiksha-Jnanam Award 2016 for his meritorious social service undertaken during the previous year.
As president of PSV, he has been leading scores of social service activities in Oman and Kerala as well for the last 10 years.
The Shiksha-Jnanam Foundation is a world famous organisation, founded and led by the famous space scientist and educational trainer Dr. T.P. Sasikumar, which has been in the field of educational training and social welfare activities all over the world for over a decade.
The award was presented to Premanand by Dr. T.P. Sasikumar in a function held at Foodland Restaurant Hall, Muscat recently in the presence of Manjulan, famous theatre artist and director from Kerala, T. Bhaskaran (Former convener, ISC Malayalam Wing and well known social worker), Ajay Menon, Shilin Poyyara (Both senior media persons), PSV members and friends.
Receiving the award, Premanand said, “I value this recognition as the most precious treasure in my life since it is awarded by the living encyclopedia and creative thinker Dr. T.P. Sasikumar and also it is a recognition for the sincere social service activities being carried out by Payyanur Sauhrudha Vedhi. Hence I dedicate this award to PSV Muscat.”
Premanand is also very active in the cultural and social service activities of Nizwa being the convener of Nizwa Malayalee Community.
