Oman's Minister of Health elected president of World Health Assembly

Muscat: Oman’s health minister Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Saeedi has been elected president of the 69th World Health Assembly, the World Health Organisation (WHO) announced Monday.

Armenia, Chad, Grenada, Malaysia and Timor-Leste (or East Timor ) have been elected as vice-presidents of the current health assembly, the health body said.

Some 3000 delegates from the WHO's 194 member states and partner organisations are participating in the meeting, it said.
