Oman Coast Guard recover body of 14-year-old boy

Muscat: The body of a 14 year old Omani boy who was reportedly drowned in near Al Seeb was recovered, while his friend, 14, was rescued, Royal Oman Police reported.

Coastguards have received on Wednesday morning a distress call by a citizen who reported seeing the two young boys heading towards the sea to swim in Sur Al Hadid area for more than half an hour without coming back.

Immediately, rescue teams rushed to the site and found the first boy, provided first aid and transported him to Sultan Qaboos University Hospital, while the other was found dead.
