Global Higher Education Exhibition begins in Oman

Muscat: Global Higher Education Exhibition (GHEDEX) kicked off at Oman International Exhibition Centre yesterday under the patronage of Dr. Said bin Hamad Al Ruba’ie, Secretary General of the Education
Council.
As many as 32 educational institutions are taking part in the three-day exhibition, which is organised by Arabian Gate Expo.
The chief guest said that the Sultanate accords a great attention to education despite the current challenges. He affirmed that chances of getting scholarships are still available, whether internal or external or at public higher education institutions.
He added that the exhibition is an opportunity for changing preferences for graduates of General Education Diploma where students can visit the exhibition and get all the information and questions about the programmes that they wish to enroll at, especially the new programmes.
He further said that the exhibition represents an opportunity to familiarise with the services offered by these institutions.
Kenana bint Ibrahim Al Hina’eyah, Director of the Arabian Gate Expo said that the exhibition aims at informing students, especially graduates of General Education Diploma, on the programmes and services provided by colleges and universities in one place.
She added that the exhibition provides the opportunity to meet with officials at universities, colleges, institutes and others where a students can take their parents to visit the exhibition and learn about the available educational opportunities and obtain the answers for their inquiries by college officials.
