Oman tourism: Popular TV show to be filmed in Dhofar

Muscat: Eesh Safari, a popular TV reality show will take place in Dhofar next year, the Ministry of Tourism (MoT) announced on Monday.
MoT said the filming of the upcoming 10th season of Eesh Safari will start on Tuesday.
The 12 children, along with the TV crew have arrived in Salalah on Monday to start the adventures and physical competitions in the southern governorate.
The filming will take up to 25 days and it will be broadcast in September 2016 on MBC 3 channel, according to Ahmed Al Marhoon, an official at the promotion department at the Ministry
of Tourism.

“This award winning show will promote for tourism in Dhofar and we will make sure to cover all the major attractions,” Al Marhoon explained.
Dozens of children of different Arab countries will compete in several challenges and visit various locations in Dhofar during the monsoon season. Winners will be granted free tickets and tours in Dhofar while the losing team will be punished by volunteering in different charitable activities in the area.
Eesh Safari was previously filmed in South Africa, Thailand, Australia, Malaysia, USA, Turkey, Abu Dhabi, Jordan, and Morocco before selecting Oman.
Inspired by the Australian show (Escape from Scorpion Island) the popular kids show is produced by the Middle East Broadcasting Center for the channel MBC 3.
