Sayyid Asa’ad takes part in Arab Summit

Nouakchott: Representing His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said, His Highness Sayyid Asa’ad bin Tariq Al Said, the representative of His Majesty the Sultan participated in the 27th regular session of the Arab Summit in Nouakchott yesterday.
The summit was opened by President Mohamed Ould Abdel Aziz of the Islamic Republic of Mauritania.
The summit will discuss major issues of Arab world, including security, economic and social issues in light of complex situations facing several Arab countries, such as Iraq, Yemen, Syria and Libya.
The summit will also review the latest developments in the Palestinian cause, in addition to supporting the Arab approach towards economic integrity and increasing economic and investment exchange among the member states, besides countering
terrorism.
Sayyid Asa’ad received at the conference Fayez Al Sarraj, Chairman of the Libyan Presidential Council, Prime Minister of the Government of National Accord.
The two sides discussed the bilateral relations and issues of common concern between the two countries in various fields.
The meeting was attended by members of the Omani and Libyan delegations.
