Olympics: Britain's Nicola Adams retains women's flyweight title

Rio de Janeiro: The first woman to win an Olympic boxing gold medal became the first to repeat the feat on Saturday when Britain's Nicola Adams retained her flyweight title by beating France's Sarah Ourahmoune.
Adams, 33, became the first British boxer to win two successive gold medals since London policeman Harry Mallin won the middleweight division at the 1920 Antwerp and 1924 Paris Games.
Ourahmoune's silver was France's fifth medal of the tournament.
Ren Cancan of China, the 2012 silver medallist, and Colombia's Ingrit Valencia Victoria took bronze as losing semifinalists.
Women's boxing was introduced to the Olympics at the 2012 London Games, with Adams the first of three champions.
Ramirez wins
Meanwhile, Cuba's Robeisy Ramirez won the men's bantamweight gold medal and ended U.S. hopes of their first men's champion since 2004.
The 2012 flyweight gold medallist beat 19-year-old Shakur Stevenson, the bright prospect on the U.S. men's team who had reached the final after a semifinal walkover, on a split decision.
The gold was Cuba's second of the boxing tournament after Julio Cesar La Cruz secured the light-heavyweight title on Thursday.
Russia's Vladimir Nikitin and Uzbekistan's Murodjon Akhmadaliev took the bronze medals.
