Oman tourism: New tourist project opens in Jebel Akhdar

Jebel Akhdar: Tourist Services Station project was opened at Jebel Akhdar in Governorate of Dakhiliyah on Tuesday under the patronage of Sheikh Khalifa bin Saleh Al Busaidi, Deputy Wali of Nizwa.
The project was built within the framework of cooperation under the supervision of the Ministry of Tourism and funded by Oman Oil Company (OOC).
The project aims to support tourism initiatives and small and medium enterprises (SMEs) that contribute to the development of tourist sites in the Sultanate and provision of services needed by tourists.
The project includes operation of six kiosks in various locations in Jebel Akhdar. Two of the kiosks have been allocated for the sale of fruits and agricultural products of Jebel Akhdar, two others to sell and serve Omani dishes, one for the sale of craft products and another to provide tourist services.
The employees to operate the kiosks were chosen from residents of Jebel Akhdar.
