Fund collection campaign for Ghala village revamp

Muscat: “Buy a t-shirt worth OMR5, and help revamp the natural spa in Ghala village.”
An Interserve Employee Foundation (IEF) project initiated by RMD KWIKFORM, OHI Douglas and The Oman Construction Company (TOCO) is gathering funds through a series of sporting events to collect money to beautify a natural spa located in the village.

According to an official at RMD KWIKFORM, the spa is currently used by the villagers, military camp trainees, as well as outsiders.
“Our CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) project called ‘Beautification of Ghala Village’ is a two-week programme that will allow our staff to participate on a staggered basis.”
“The objective is to promote employee volunteering (Give a Day of your time) and to positively impact the environment through awareness and/or activity in communities, where Interserve operates.”
“We want to promote the Ghala village hot spring as an attractive tourist destination, with well-maintained facilities, which in return could boost the local economy of the village and to promote ‘waste management and/or recycling,’ which is linked to our sustainability plan.”
Collect funds
A sports fest is being organised from August 18 to September 9 to collect funds for this project, which will be implemented in October. This includes badminton, volleyball, chess, bowling and cricket. The aim of IEF is to improve the quality of life for people in the communities, where it operates enlisting the skills, capabilities, resources and enthusiasm of its employees.
