Oman crime: Alleged shopping centre thief arrested

Muscat: Police arrested a man on charges of robbing a shopping centre in Qurayat and vandalising it, Royal Oman Police (ROP) reported.

The accused entered the centre from an emergency door and stole some cash from it, an official ROP source confirmed.

Following the arrest, police found that he had earlier been convicted of other crimes.

The alleged thief was sent the public prosecutor for further investigation.
